Drug Addiction in Uganda
Families already struggle with sending their
children to school. It is even more difficult when a child then
starts doing drugs. Whether it is to cope with pressure from studies or even
peer pressure students in the end risk their future for
momentary release. Often teenagers suffering with drug addiction do not
get to finish their education, or even get the help they need to get back on
their feet.
At risk. In the last one month, police in Kampala have
recorded more than 1,000 cases of drug-related offences, particularly involving
teenagers and youth aged between 13 and 24 years.
Many teenagers are increasingly getting addicted to
marijuana, oblivious to the danger it poses. Elizabeth Namazzi and Pascal
Kwesiga found out why some teenagers find it hard to let go of the
notorious leaf

New Library Room
We would like to thank all our donors for the support! We now have a proper study room where our library is now located. Before the children were using the dinning table and the library was combined with the sitting room. Caught two of our kids at the table when we took the photo. From her face that must be Mathematics she is working on.
